Jedox in the Cloud: BI & PM applications in minutes with Amazon

Jedox is now available as a cloud solution at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace online store. With Jedox for AWS, customers and partners can access a comprehensive self-service business intelligence and performance management system in just a few minutes.

Jedox for AWS is purpose-built for AWS and allows you to quickly and easily start your business intelligence and performance management applications in a cloud environment. You’ll be up and running in less than ten minutes. Jedox for AWS features all the Jedox Web components, including the ETL Server and OLAP Server, so you don’t need to install anything on your hardware.

As with all cloud apps, Jedox for AWS is based on a bring-your-own-license principle, so as a Jedox client all you have to do is enter your license key and you’re good to go. Amazon charges a nominal hourly fee for this service and the rates are staggered depending on the technology you use to access your Jedox app and the scale of your requirements. The Jedox for AWS app supports Jedox Version 5.0.

A scalable on-demand BI platform

Jedox for AWS is primarily designed to enable Jedox customers and partners to run demonstrations and test processes, but “real” number crunching is also possible. “Jedox for AWS provides users with a scalable hardware environment, so their app can grow with the demands of their corporation. This new service means no more costly investment in hardware that quickly goes out of date”, comments Matthias Krämer, Chief Technology Officer at Jedox.

As the market leader for cloud infrastructures, AWS provides five times as much computing capacity as the other providers in the Gartner Magic Quadrant, including vendors such as Microsoft, SAP and Google. AWS also meets the highest security standards.

“Cloud technology is increasingly important for business intelligence and performance management. With this in mind, we chose AWS to provide an amazing opportunity for our users to run demos and test processes in a high-performance environment. The feedback from our customers and partners has been great”, adds Krämer.
