Jedox addresses and immediately mitigates impact of Log4j vulnerability

December 16, 2021, Boston – Freiburg – Singapore – Jedox, the award-winning provider of Enterprise Performance Management solutions for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), has actively responded and addressed the recently announced Log4j vulnerability for its customers around the world with appropriate measures to mitigate potential issues.

This critical remote code execution vulnerability impacting Apache Log4j 2 (versions 2.0 to 2.14.1), also known as “Log4Shell” was recently announced by Apache. This vulnerability is designated by Mitre as CVE-2021-44228 with the highest severity rating. Log4j 2 is a very commonly used open source third party Java logging library used in software applications and services and has impacted numerous organizations around the world.

With the prevalence of this library, the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a statement on this matter, noting that “CISA advises users and administrators to examine the Apache Log4j 2.15.0 announcement and… apply the recommended mitigations immediately.”
