Jedox AG, a leading vendor of Business Intelligence and Enterprise Planning software solutions, announced today that former Tableau executive Edward (Ed) Gromann has been appointed as President of its Boston-based subsidiary Jedox Inc., effective immediately.

“Based on our success with enterprise customers in the United States, Ed Gromann will lead Jedox Inc. to the next phase of accelerated growth”, said Kay-Ingo Greve, Jedox CEO. “His in-depth EPM and BI experience will help CFOs and the Office of Finance to simplify global budgeting, planning and forecasting processes across the organization. We are very pleased to welcome him to Jedox.”

Prior to Jedox, Ed Gromann served as Director Technology Alliances at Tableau, leader in visual data analytics, where he executed go to market initiatives with Tableau’s most strategic technology partners and managed the global expansion of Tableau’s Customer Advocacy Program. Before joining Tableau in 2013, Ed served as Executive Sponsor for many of IBM’s largest customers as the Global Performance Management Solutions Executive at IBM Cognos. Another career milestone of note is Ed’s appointment as the Vice President Worldwide Sales Support and Services at TM1-developer Applix Inc. in 2004. Ed helped grow Applix Inc.’s customer base and revenues substantially, culminating in the acquisition by Cognos in 2007.

Ed Gromann succeeds Dr. Rolf Gegenmantel who has served as President of Jedox Inc. since its incorporation in 2014 and successfully established the US Jedox team as well as the network of American enterprise customers and business partners. Dr. Gegenmantel was promoted to global Chief Marketing & Product Officer in April 2016 and will continue to drive Jedox market awareness, product strategy and roadmap.
