Dr. Liran Edelist, CEO of Top-IT, part of the Jedox partner network, talks about how Jedox technology is helping to improve performance and planning in the banking sector.
Q: LIRAN, CAN YOU GIVE US AN EXAMPLE OF A BANKING SECTOR PROJECT?
A: Top-IT is using Jedox technology to measure and analyse the performance of Bank Otsar HaHayal’s branches and business units – private banking, commercial banking, corporate banking, small business banking, etc. This Israeli bank project involves 200 users.
Q: HOW ARE YOU USING JEDOX TECHNOLOGY?
A: We are using Jedox technology as part of the Balance Scorecard strategy management framework. Balance Scorecard is a well-known methodology used to create effective management strategies and measure their performance. It’s also used to create and measure planning goals. In summary, the system tracks, measures and analyses the bank’s ability to implement and follow strategy.
Q: CAN YOU TELL US ANY MORE ABOUT THE SYSTEM?
A: A unique feature of the system and the project is its competitive measurement component. The system has the ability to provide competitive measurement, by which I mean it allows our clients not only to see raw performance data but also to analyse it within market parameters. This comparative analysis provides a clear picture of performance in real market terms.
Q: CAN YOU GIVE US MORE DETAILS OF THE SYSTEM AT WORK?
A: There is a wide range of performance and planning management-related benefits. For example, with Jedox technology at its core, the system can analyse key performance indicators at specific branches and business units. Using the interactive dashboard, anyone from local managers to executives can access detailed reports. In addition, by ranking staff, branches and units according to ability and performance, it can be used to help motivate people to perform better.
