Jedox appoints Executive Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Freiburg/Germany, 28 July 2008 – Jedox has announced the appointment of Arne Petersen (39) as Executive Vice President Worldwide Sales and Marketing to lead the global sales and marketing efforts for the company as well as the development of a  worldwide Partner network. The software company based in Freiburg/Germany develops and merchandises planning, analysis and reporting systems based on commercial Open Source.

Arne Petersen, who holds a Master degree in Business Administration, has been working in the software industry -with a main focus on sales and marketing management as well as strategy – for over 12 years. As a former Vice President, Managing Director and Sales Director, he brings a wealth of experience in building and developing sales and marketing organizations. At CSC, Petersen was responsible for the sales of banking products in Central and Eastern Europe. At Searchspace/Fortent, he successfully built up the Central European operations from the ground up. At Macrovision, he was in charge for the EMEA Enterprise business.

Under the new leadership of Mr. Petersen, Jedox plans to further expand both their business in the D-A-C-H (Germany/Austria/Switzerland) region and internationally. The creation of an effective sales organization and partner network throughout Europe is the main focus during the initial phase. ”The combination of Palo, the Open Source BI solution of Jedox, with future-oriented business models such as “Software as a Service” (SaaS) for Jedox’ commercial enterprise products, puts us in an excellent position for the expansion of our business throughout Europe”, says Mr. Petersen.
