The new 2.5 version of free MOLAP Server Palo available now!

Freiburg, 1 July 2008 –Leading the lineup of valuable improvements of Palo 2.5 are a newly-optimized MOLAP (Multidimensional OnLine Analytical Processing) engine and intelligent local data cache, giving users faster read and write-back performance. Other improvements include faster multi-dimensional data processing, an enhanced multidimensional formula editor, and advanced query capability.

Palo 2.5 is perfectly compatible with the Palo ETL Server which is with its GPL also available free of charge. The Palo ETL Server enables the extraction of data from heterogeneous sources as well as the transformation and the loading of master and transaction data into Palo models.  For the first time, Palo 2.5 supports the drill-through functionality of the ETL Server as well, i.e. it allows users to quickly reach back through aggregated data held in RAM to source data when needed.
