Reporting Entities

If your newly created application runs in the global mode, you can additionally create a hierarchical list of Reporting Entities. Reporting Entities allow to group your data according to the structure of your organization or project.

Login as Administrator and select 'Edit Entities' in the Options Menu. You will then see the Entity Editor, which gives an overview about the current list of Reporting Entities. For example, the following screen shows the Reporting Entities of our 'Sales' demo.

You can use the editor to insert, delete and rename the Reporting Entities. By using the 'Move up' or 'Move down' buttons, it is possible to change the order of appearance of the Reporting Entities

The 'Select Level' listbox lets you choose the Reporting Entity where you want new sub-entities to be added. You start out with the root entity, which is called 'All Regions' in this sample, and begin to add sub-entities like 'North', 'West' etc.

It is possible to customize the name to the topmost root element. This is done by entering a different label in the entry field at the very buttom of the editor

When you want to create a multi-level hierarchy of Reporting Entities, select a sub-entity in the 'Choose Level' listbox and begin to add Reporting Entities at this level. The sample below shows how to add new sub-entities for the Reporting Entity 'West'.
