I'd had the same problem.

I uninstallad Palo (and deleted manuall the c:\programme\Jedox directory.

After that I reinstalled Palo, and it's working properly.

RE: CAN't start PALO 1.5

Just restart Excel and Palo is in the menu available. Also choice buttons and you see Palo in Excel 2003.

I did install first advanced but than I was not able to start the PALO server in Excel. I did reinstall standard and all works great.

I seems that the MIS sample excel sheet is not working anymore with Palo 1.5. Is this correct ?

Is there any documentation how to test the user security ?

Any idea when the Supervision server is available ?

Regards, Marco

Its not that simple for me.. Reboots.. Using the manual Icon, setting it to load with excel .. Making sure the add-in is lised and loaded.. It seems that the Add-in is not loading at all..

I experienced the thame problems with Palo 1.5.
- NET 2.0 is installed
- Palo Server Manager is running
- but Excel AddInn does not load at all

I am using Office XP. May be there is a problem with this Office Version?
Did anybody install Palo 1.5 successful on Office XP / Office 2000?

Yes.

I did see that if you start Excel you don´´t see the PALO menu. Just end Excel and start Excel again with the PALO shortcut on your desktop again and all there is.

I did exacly that. But it does not work. After starting the PALO shortcut Excel is loading but w/o the Palo Menu. (With Palo 1.0c it was working fine, but not with 1.5)
The problem seems to be somewhere else.

I had a Test version of Office 2007 running. With 1st Palo 1.5 Installation
the menu appered there (what I did not want). But after deinstallation of that and installation of Palo on Office XP it did not work.

Are you using Palo 1.5 with MS Office XP?

Hello,

starting excel with the palo shortcut didin't work with as well. I remembered then a case with palo 1.0c and the com add-in manager with which you could include the proper dll in excel.
so i tried all the dll in the palo/de-DE folder (using german version) but all excel replies have been "not an excel add-in". maybe i got the wrong dll? any ideas?

It should work. Open the file and use the workaround "Past Data function".

Will be described in the next version of the Evaluation Guide. Until then you can experiment with Modeller and Paste View (advanced mode enabled).

The core server part of Supervision Server is already there. More details about will be available once we update the Evaluation Guide.
