Past view function now working

I am running W7 Professional 32 and have installed palo 3.2. I set up a model but I have not been able to get the paste view function dialog box to open. I can get all the others on the palo addin menu but not the paste view. I have not been working with Palo for a while and have a vague recollection that there is something htat needs to be done to get it to work. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have got it figured out. Well at least I can get a model working. I uninstalled it all, deleted all the registry entires and anything related to palo in the directory. Then reinstalled 3.1.

But still have not been able to get 3.2 working on Win 7 32

I am also using 3.2 OS on Win 7 32. I can't get the paste view dialog box to come up either?

Hi,

try to open the palo excel-addin as an administrotor! In my case, it works then!

Hi,

we have a customer, where reinstalling the add-on (!)twice saved our day. They use Excel 2007.

In my case the customer doesn't have the alternative to work as an administrator. So what rights does the addin (or better: the user) need to show the paste view dialog?

Im my case the problem was, that the folder "styles" doesn't exists after the installation in the palo-folder (which is empty, but needed by the addin).

The installation was made on 7 Citrix servers, 1 with, 6 without the folder (no idea why). So it was a little bit tricky to get the right log file with the corresponding error message.

In my case, I uninstalled all java machines. Then I installed Java 32 bit only (Version 6 Update 30). Now there's no problem.

Same problem with W7 64bit, MS Office 2010. What helped: run starter.exe as administrator, it will create the styles subfolder ins palo folder.

Wow, were you be able to have Palo add-in working with Excel 64 bit? I read some time ago in a post from Jedox that there were unsolvable problems with 64 bit MS technology... Please confirm, this would be really good,

Hi,

Palo (CE) can only be installed in 32bit Excel (even if Excel 32bit is installed on Windows 64bit).
Jedox (PE) 3.3 can be installed in 64bit Excel as well.

Regards.

styles folder

Samwood, I created an empty styles folder as suggested and it worked. Big up to you :)
