consolidation of multiple values calculated with rules

Hello,

I have the following problem:

I want to consolidate some Values to "Gewinn KK":

Garantierte Einsparung 1
Zusaetzliche Ertraege aus relativen Einsparungen 1
laufende Managementpauschale -1

if i just consolidate
Garantierte Einsparung 1
Zusaetzliche Ertraege aus relativen Einsparungen 1

it is working but if I add "laufende Managementpauschale". Just the value of "laufende Managementpauschale" is shown in "Gewinn KK" (see the attached images)

All three values above are calculated via rules (see the attached images)

I tried to recalculate everything (hit F9), restart palo and excel, restart the computer, set the rules cache to 0 in the palo.ini but nothing have had any effect. Any further ideas?

RE: consolidation of multiple values calculated with rules

Hello!

Maybe,

this is because of the Marker technology of Palo. In Palo, you do not have to marker a cube completely, you are allowed to "forget" to marker certain rules. Now let's suppose, you have such a half-markered cube. If you query the sum of a subcube that contains only markered cells or only unmarkered cells, you will get the correct results in both case. But if you query a subcube where there are markered and also unmarkered cells, then the values of the unmarkered cells will not be calculated and omitted from consolidation.

Looking at your rules, you marker the rules for "laufende Managementpauschale" and do not marker the other two elements. That may cause the phenomenon described.

Hello and thank you a lot. I had no idea about this PALO-Marker-specifications. I removed the Marker in the other two rules (I can't add Markers to the two rules, because then the calculation is not functioning. I don't know why. I just can guess, that this is also a problem with the marker, because this two rules are refering to other rules). Now it's working.

kind regards

Alex

You made my day, thanks!!

Hi,
I just wanted to share the fact that I was stuck with aggregations of markers-calculated leaf elements not working properly (it worked for subcubes, not for the entire cube): marking all the 2 elements of the calculation ([[X]] x [[Y]] instead of [X] x [[Y]] made it working perfectly,
Now I'm on track again, thanks!!!
