PB with subset via pasteview
Hi everyone.
I recently discovered the power of the subsets.
this is a great tool.
however I'm having some bugs when I use it via Paste view with variables.
Example:
I make a data filter on my customers depending on the quantity ordered.
In the data filter I set some dimensions to be variables.
When I use this filter in Excel via paste view the first time it works.
But then when I change the value of the variables (Cell of excel) the filter does do refresh accordingly (I reopen paste view and reselect the filter)
Usually it works one or two times and then begin to react strangely. However if I return in the subset editor, refresh the filter in the editor and save it, then it works, as long as I don't change again the variable.
In conclusion it looks like when you use Paste view with a filter Palo does not manage to refresh the filter correctly.
If anyone has noticed the same thing or know some work around it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Guillaume.
Good evening.
I'm having an other issue with subsets.
The most unusual one.
Here is the simplified situation:
I have three indicators: Qty, Conquest and Qty_Conquest.
Qty is filled in the cube (by customer, product, month etc)
Conquest is calculated by a rule:
If Qty 2009> 0 and Qty 2008 = 0 then Conquest = 1 otherwise Conquest = 0.
Qty_Conquest is also calculated by a rule:
Qty_Conquest = Qty * Conquest.
I do not have any pb with these indicators when not using the subsets.
In the subset editor I make a Data filter.
I select all the customers with Qty > 0. It works.
I select all the customers with Qty_Customers > 0. It works.
But when I try to select the customers with Conquest > 0 In the editor it does not return any customer code.
Which is very strange since the result should be exactly the same than with Qty_Conquest!!
Besides it worked well in the past.
I have no idea why it's not working anymore.
if anyone has the slightest idea how to deal with this one I'd be very grateful.
I'm completly at a lost with this case.
Thanks,
Guillaume.
