Palo Odbc Demo

Dear all!

I found on PALO Website a Online-Demo with ODBC conection. I can drill down form OLAP Report to the data entry.

How will that be realized? I use a mssql database and palo. What i do actually is to generate a textfile via ms access to use the importfunction of palo.

With this methode it won't work to generate a drill down function.

Thanks

RE: Palo Odbc Demo

Hi,

I think you have to extract the data with the jedox ETL-Server to realize a Drill-through!

In this demo, the data is fetched directly from MySQL by the Worksheet-Server, so this demo isn't connected to the drilldown function of ETL.

However, to do a drilldown in Excel from Palo data cells to (more detailed) source data (like MySQL), you need the non-free Palo Supervision-Server. The ETL Server is one system that can function as a source for drill through, but with Supervision-Server, drillthrough to other sources is possible as well.

Drill down, like the one done in Bikersbest Demo can also be done with Palo Web without any additional software.

Thanks for replying.

Thanks,
