Worksheet Server menue entry in Excel

Hi,

the demo movies/ examples on the Jedox website are showing a worksheet server entry in the menue bar of Excel.

Is my assumption correct, that this entry isn't necessary for the WSS 3 because you can built the worksheet directly at the WSS 3?
Thanks,
berndo

Right. That feature in the menu bar only concerns WSS 2.5.

Hi guys,
I saw that it isn't mandatory to have the add-in in the excel menu to upload the worksheet to WSS. That looks good for those that are decided to completely give up MS Excel use.
On the other hand I think to be a good idea to keep having the add-in in the excel menu [ just as in the screen cast ], as anyone knows how easy is to make templates in excel, and then to upload in the WSS, for new functionalitis.

Unfortunately this facility was removed. Is it just an oversight, or is there anything I missed during installation, is there any customization needed?
Kind Regards!

Hi,
It's me again...
After taking a glance over the threads [ i'm new to palo ], I have another questions...
As far as I understand, WSS is in fact an http apache server.
Let's suppose I already have an apache server installed [ that hosts a CMS, and a virtual store ], so , is there any possibility to make some configurations to use the same server for both CMS, and WSS? [ hope my question doesn't look dumb ].
Regards!

It should be possible!

I tried (two + threads here) but did not succeed. Complex right (filesystem) management issue via Java security...

They coexist but right now the developers completely ignore the package management of Linux distros
or
install data and store logs (at least you can prvent that during installation) in the Windows program directory.
