Palo+PalOOCa on Ubuntu 8.10

Hello,

I'm trying to use Palo 2.5 with OpenOffice 2.4.1 and PalOOCa 1.1.0 on a Ubuntu 8.10 system, up to now to no avail. The Palo Server seems to work (no errors on startup, visible as process), the PalOOCa extension is installed as an OpenOffice extension and is activated. But clicking on the Palo menu freezes OpenOffice completely.

Has anyone out there a working OpenOffice/PalOOCa setup or some hints how to get one?

Hi,

I have no problems running Palo(oca) on Ubuntu 8.10. Please ensure that you are using the SUN Javaengine not openJDK (Extras -> Optionen -> OpenOffice.org -> Java).

the best, Lars

Ah, jetzt ja.
Switching from OpenJDK to Sun Java was the solution.
Thanks a lot.
