context menu not visible
if I want to open the context menu e.g. in the Modeller over the right mouse button, then the menu is not visible.
One clicks approximately there, where the menu would be, thus a function opens.
How get I visibly the menu?
Windows XP Version 2002 SP2 (german)
.Net FrameWork 2.0 + 3.0 (german)

Hello Alsa,
There must be at least one element in the dimension before you can
use the context menu in the Modeller. Is there one element?

I use the 'DEMO' Database.
I open the “Modeller†and go there e.g. on register “MONTHâ€.
There I click with the right mouse button on the month April.
It does not open a context menu - at least it is not visible.
If I click approximately now, where the context menu would be,
then I release a function. E.G. rename, new element or delete.

unfortunately I can't find the file with the name “XlAddin†in the "Palo" directory. Can you explain to me more exactly, where I can read the log file?

The PaloServer.log and the PaloXlAddin.log is found in:
\\Programs\Jedox\Palo\Log\

Here exists only “PaloServer.logâ€.
“PaloXlAddin.log†don't exists.

Then your Excel Addin does not work correctly, please reinstall.
If it does happen again, please document your installation mode.

What is wrong with this installation?
Where is the error ?
Why is the installation incomplete?
I would like to use “Palo†gladly.
But without the context menu is that difficult.
Have you an idea?

Hello Alsa,
Do you have restricted user rights? For the installation of Palo you need
admin rights. To run Palo it is necessary to have read and write rights
for the database and log files later on.

I have admin right for domain and local.
Also with the local admin I installed. The result is the same.

If i use the browser and go to
http://localhost:7777/browser
i get the error
1008;"file not found";"error in request"
That is probably also an error of the incomplete installation.

What do you mean by domain and local? Your installation is on one local
machine, isn't it? - Could you please try to reinstall, remove your existing
Palo directory and install in advanced mode?

I am announced to “windows domain†and have full right for the network and for the local PC.
The program is installed on the local PC.
I announced myself also with a local admin at the PC and accomplished the installation.
The result is alike.
Now i reinstall and install 'palo' in advanced mode with documentation.

The function of the context menu are present.
But the context menu is not visible.

Solution
The error is caused by the graphic card.
For the Intel graphic card
82915G / GV / 910GL Express Chipset Family
the current driver is needed.
Version: 6.14.10.4764
Date: 13.01.2007
... and now the kontext menu is visible.
