Downgrade to Palo 3.1 results in Database not being recognized

I downgraded to Palo 3.1 after the license for the newer version expired and when copying the database folder to the Jedox/Palo/data/ folder where the demo and biker databases are located, my database is not showing up even after restarting the server as well as the computer. Any ideas how to get Palo 3.1 t recognize my database without remodeling all the data and doing another import?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

first things first: The current version of Palo Suite (Community Edition) is 3.2.
Jedox Molap Databases are not backward compatible. You'll most likely find a message in your Moalp Server log.

Regards.

Thank you for your response. Okay upgrading to community edition 3.2 is resulting in the same problem. Moving the database folder along side the demo database does not allow my database to work. It is not being recognized for some reason. I have tried restarting both the computer and the connection but neither is working.

Thanks

Hello,

do you have a blank in your database name? Is there an error message in the etl log file?
Is the database recognized in your log file, when you are finished with starting?
You can also check if your database is in the list of loaded databases. (..\Jedox\Palo Suite\olap\data\palo.csv)

The database is not being recognized in my log file after starting. The database has not spaces (just underscore) and there is no error in the log. The database is not showing up under the list of loaded databases either.

Thanks again for your help.

Hello JS13,

the point of the problem is, that you can upgrade your databases from 3.2 CE (ETL version 3.1) to Palo Premium 3.3.
I upgrade some databases by myself from Palo 3.1 CE to Palo 3.3 PE and it works, but you can´t downgrade it so easy, because there is a restructer of the database and to re-restructer it, you should ask the support.
