Hi Uday,

A little late. But I was jsut browsing through existing issues.
You can prevent writing by implementing the right data access in the Security part of PALO.

All security (be it Palo in Excel, Pivot, Web) is done through this mechanism.
You can find documentation on the security on the donwload site.
