Palo Pivot - new elements not displayed

Hi,

Version: Palo Suite 3.2 SR1, Palo analyser: Version 3.2.0.576

When I update a dimension with a new element under a sub-total; the element is not visible in the Palo pivot. I allready tried to re-logon to the Palo Suite, to refresh the data in the Palo pivot; but none of these actions help.

Example:

sub-total value
- element 1 10
- element 2 15
- new element 8

The Palo Pivot shows:

sub-total value 23
- element 1 10
- element 2 15
(new element is not visible!)

How can this be solved?
Kind regards,

Arthur van den Berg

Hi,

did you try to restart the application server (PaloSuiteTomcatService)?

Regards.

Hi,

Yes, a restart helps; but this is not a sustainable solution, is it?

A restart of the tomcat service requires a restart of the MOLAP engine as well. As soon as you have a bit of data in Palo, this restart can take a while. In addition, all end-users logged in will be kicked-out in the meantime.

I was hoping to have similar functionality as the Palo database; which is that new elements are available on-the-fly.

May someone else knows the trick.
Kind regards,

Hi,

restarting the Tomcat Service can be done independantly from the Palo Molap Service.

Regards.
