Connecting Jaspersoft iReport to a cube in PALO Community
Is it possible to access the cube with in the PALO community edition via XMLA or some other way?
Thanks for the help.
Jyot
Right now it is possible to access Palo OLAP Server Community Edition through Palo ODBO/XMLA Provider Community Edition (XMLA) only from Excel.
Premium version of Palo ODBO/XMLA Provider supports any XMLA client.

Thanks Vladislav. I tried the url
http://admin:admin@localhost:4242/xmla/ in the iReport but it errors out with a message "Error Connection Refused Connect".
Do I have to start any service to enable xmla? My Palo web is running and i can access the same cubes from Excel.
Thanks for your help.

Well yes, aside from Palo OLAP Server you need Palo ODBO/XMLA Provider I thought I have that one (it is not included in standard setup at the moment - extra
setup).

Hi! Palo is a great product. I think it's fantastic, quick and easy to use. I've setup the ODBO/XMLA Provider and its running. What is the right connection strings to use? I would like to see if the data can be displayed via other reporting tools. Is there any documentation around the ODBO/XMLA Provider? Can it be sold seperately if companies want to only buy components to integrate? I'm presenting Palo very soon, and would like to demo reporting of Palo data via a variety of reporting tools. So this is urgent.
Hi,
as the full XMLA/ODBO component is included in the Premium Edition only (Community Ed supports odbo connections via excel pivot tables only), I suggest you to contact Jedox sales directly (
http://www.jedox.com/en/about-jedox/Contact/Contact-us.html) for urgent info,
regards,
RQ
