interpretation of decimal-separator

I imported about 2 million values by using PALO.SETDATA-Worksheetformula and "Import-Assistent". Some values "lost" their decimal-separator, for example 10.000,23 was imported as 1.000.023. I identified one single example-value to verifiy the problem but when I imported only this one value it worked perfect.
Any idea about it?

RE: interpretation of decimal-separator

Hi!
Where does the data come from CSV, DB or Cube? Could you please upload one snippet(10-20 records) to forum?

RE: interpretation of decimal-separator

The data comes from a txt-file using tab as element-separator.
Here is the extract.
Thanks in advance.

RE: interpretation of decimal-separator

Hi,

I have the same problem by importing a big number of data by a text-file. The first part of the data are imported the right way, but after a specific number of data, it seems happens when the system is loading the next data-package, there is a switch, afterwards the decimal-separator does not work any more.

Best Regards

Roland

I couldn't recreate the problem with the extract.txt.

to J_RECKMANN:

This sounds like a bug wich was fixed in Version 1.0b

Version 1.0b-2606 15.05.2006

- Add-in: Fixed issues in import for data rows containing the 1000 separator

Can you send me a file where the last line contains 10.000,23 and with which
the error occurs (with the lats line).

Can you also tell me how the according Excel cell is formated and which
are the language settings, escpecially for numbers.

to Aisakos:

This sound related to a bug which was fixed in 1.0c.

Can you send me a file with more than 10000 lines where the last line shows this error.

Can you also tell me how the according Excel cell is formated and which
are the language settings, escpecially for numbers.
